The information contained on this site has been compiled from personally viewed parish registers or images supplied by others, the same applies to the Birth, Marriage and Death entries these are either from personally owned certificates or images that people have very generously sent so that the information can be shared.

REGARDING INFORMATION AND RECORDS
A note on the Information contained on this web site, whilst care is taken in transcribing census and parish records and other related material at the end of the day we are all human and mistakes can happen! Often the writing is hard to decipher and sometimes the clerics themselves have misheard the name or place and entered the wrong name or spelling of it, so one needs to always double check if it’s your ancestor to be doubly sure the entry is correct and if it is not, as maybe you know from family lore, then please let me know of any corrections that need to be made.
The certificates used in Transcriptions are a mixture of Scans mainly from the GRO, and hand produced one’s locally sourced, With locally sourced hand written one’s the registrar writes down what they see in the original register to the best of their ability, please be aware this can lead to errors in the produced certificate for example I have received a certificate where the Registrar has transcribed the groom and his father's surname as Miller when in fact it was Willet.
Important: The presence of a name on this site does not guarantee that the named person is a Romany/Gypsy/Traveller or of descent, it is only an indication that from the image or information that this is a possibility.
